We’re going to spend some time this summer pressing into God’s word, and we would love to invite you along for the ride! Study the bible however works best for you. Read your physical bible and take notes in a journal, or write thoughts and highlight your actual bible. You can read your bible app on your phone, or listen to an audio version of the passage. You can spend 5 minutes or 5 days going over a chapter or two. Whatever it looks like for you, we just want you to encounter God’s word in a new way this summer.

Some of us might be used to doing a bible study that is more structured and has specific and unique questions each day based off of a passage picked out ahead of time. I’ll be the first to admit that that is not exactly how this one looks. And there’s a good reason for that! Here’s why: it is our goal at Relevant that we give you tools and skills to continue pursuing God and his word way after you have left student ministry. Bible studies are so great, but we want to give you the ability to study any and every part of God’s word on your own and make your own conclusions and findings.

Are you still with me? Good! Are you excited? I hope so!

Here is what this summer study will look like in a nutshell: I have given you 5 questions that will guide you through each new scripture reading you encounter. These questions are universal questions that help you get down to the nitty gritty of these chapters in Psalms and every book in the bible for that matter. They will help you figure out what God is trying to teach you and how you can apply it to your own life. And the beauty is that, these questions can be applied to any passage in the bible!

It is my hope and my prayer that this new type of study would ignite a passion to continue studying Scripture long after the summer is over. And if you hate it, that’s fine too! But isn’t it worth a shot to try something new, leave it in the Lord’s hands, and just see what you learn? Let’s be honest, do we really have a lot going on right now getting in the way? Give it a try, and just see what God has to teach you this summer!

We are praying for you, we love you, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for you this summer!

I highly encourage you to watch this background video! It gives great context and info as you start your journey in the book of Psalms!
